Sparkasse Bank Malta plc has released an Authentication Application that has removed the need for a physical token to be used when accessing and transacting on your account(s) using the Bank’s Online Banking System.
Spar Key enables a more secure and efficient environment for Sparkasse Bank Malta plc’s clients throughout the following processes:• Logging-in into the Bank’s Online Banking System;• Authorising the release of Payment Instructions; and• Authorising the release of Securities related orders.Spar Key has been developed in compliance with the requirements on Strong Customer Authentication stemming from ‘the EU’s Payment Services Directive II (PSD II)’.
